| | I had my interview with Malacca-Manipal College today. It went with a breeze. 5 persons per group for the interview, and all we had to do was to talk about ourselves for 1 minute. It is only the second time MMMC actually held interview for their future students, and it is nothing more than just a formality. There is "pass" or "fail" for the interview. Everything would depend on our A-Level results. With JPA, it must be above 12 points (at least 3 B's). I am really tired now. We left for Malacca at 8 a.m., ate our lunch at Mahkota Parade at 12 p.m., and the interview started at about 2 p.m., with me being in the fourth group. We reached INTEC at about 7.10 pm., I think.
I've got nothing to write for now, but I'll leave you guys with this excerpt from my friend's entry on her blog, regarding the talk by Yvonne Ridley she attended last Sunday at UIA:
after the talk there was a
Q&A session...a man got up and asked 'How can we as normal citizen
of the world, contribute to the cause of the world. We have no power.
We have no control in the government. So, what can we do??'
I thought this was a very good question..its sumthing that everyone thinks about but never thought to ask..true or not?
this is her brilliant answer:
she said, " The people, the
rakyat, is like a lion. The government or megapowers of the world is
like a 'lion tamer'. Imagine, u are a member of the audience. U are
watching the lion tamer make the lion do tricks at the circus. Once in
awhile the lion tamers whips his huge whip at the lion to control it. U
know the even though the lion tamer has the whip, the lion can suddenly
attack the tamer at any time. And the lion will definitely be stronger
and can kill the tamer easily. You know this. Everyone in the audience
knows this. Even the lion tamer himself knows this. Except the lion... And.. until the lion can realise this, he will always be under the control of the tamer. " |
